Full Title
What is a legacy? Creating ethical wills to record older adults treasured values and memories
Description
The University at Buffalo (UB) Department of Psychology is looking for adults over the age of 60 years old for a study on “ethical wills.” An ethical will is a written document for people to record their values, ethics, and important memories. The goal of the study is to see if writing ethical wills can be good for the mental health of older adults.

Participants will be enrolled in the study for 5 months and need to be enrolled by May 8, 2024. They will complete five 2-hour workshops via Zoom on May 15, May 22, May 29, June 5, and June 12 from 2:30 - 4:30pm EST. They will also write an “ethical will” and share it with the study team; complete surveys at three different time points; and complete a brief one-on-one interview about their study experiences.
