Study for Adults with Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Protocol: STUDY00009817
Full Title
A Multicenter, Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study to Assess the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of ITI-1284 as Monotherapy Treatment in Patients with Generalized Anxiety Disorder Who Have Had Inadequate Response to Generalized Anxiety Disorder Treatment
Description
Everyone experiences anxiety at some point in their lives. Some people get nervous before taking a test. Others get anxious when experiencing big life changes. However, for some people, their anxiety gets in the way of their daily life. This is called Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Within the last several decades, there have been new treatments developed to help adults living with GAD. But not all adults experience relief from their GAD symptoms with current treatments.

A new research study is investigating if a new medicine might help adults with GAD that are still experiencing anxiety symptoms. The researchers are recruiting adults who have taken at least two prescription medications for their GAD without symptom relief.

Eligible participants will be enrolled in the study for 6 weeks. They will take either the study drug or a placebo (which looks like the study drug but does not contain any active medication) once a day. They will also complete nine in-person study visits.

Participants can earn up to $900 for completing all parts of the study.
