The goal of the study is to see if a new type of treatment [the ClotTriever procedure with anticoagulant (AC) medicines that lower your blood’s ability to clot] may treat blood clots in the leg better than just AC medicines. The ClotTriever procedure works by trapping the blood clot in the leg and then removing it through a mesh metal bag and catheter (or a thin, flexible tube that is inserted into the vein in the groin).
