Inclusion Criteria
(1) Current DSM-5 diagnosis of schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar, or recurring major depressive disorder;

This study enrolls children ages 3-5 who attend certain Buffalo child care centers and their parents. This study is looking at early stressful experiences in the family and with friends at school. We are trying to find out how these experiences impact school readiness when children transition from preschool to kindergarten. We are also exploring how stressful experiences "get under the skin" and are measured in the stress hormone cortisol that we can measure in hair and saliva. Read More
