Full Title
Elucidating the role of periodontitis-derived extracellular vesicles as mediators of cardiovascular disease
Description
The University at Buffalo (UB) School of Dental Medicine is conducting a study for adults with healthy gums and those with gum disease for an in-person study. The research team is interested in learning more about gum health and how bacteria and molecules in your body may change from gum disease.

Participants will complete a phone screening to determine study eligibility. Those eligible will be invited to attend a study visit on the UB South Campus (located on Main Street and Bailey Avenue). During the first visit, a trained research staff member will perform a dental exam. They will also collect a saliva (spit) sample, dental plaque from around your teeth, and a blood draw.
