Study for Ex-Collegiate Quarterbacks and Pitchers
Protocol: STUDY00008267
Full Title
Electromyographic Analysis of Forearm Muscles in Quarterbacks During a Football Throw versus Pitchers During a Baseball Pitch
Description
UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is conducting a study for ex-collegiate quarterbacks and pitchers. The goal of the study is to learn more about how the forearm muscles are used differently when throwing a football versus a baseball. The results of the study may lead to a better understanding of forearm injures and enhance treatment options.

Participants will complete an hour-long study visit to the UB Orthopedics facility. They will have sensors placed on their throwing arm and make five 10-yard throws.
