Effects of Mindfulness Practices on Mental Health, Burnout, Job Satisfaction & Retention Among Healthcare Workers: A Quasi-Experimental Study
Description
The University at Buffalo (UB) School of Nursing is recruiting inpatient psychiatric unit nursing staff from the Rochester General Hospital for a mindfulness study. The goal of the study is to learn more about the effectiveness of brief mindfulness practices on improving mental health, well-being, stress, and burnout of nurses and other care providers in psychiatric care settings.

Participants will be asked to complete 5 weeks of brief daily mindfulness practices while at work. They will also complete an online survey at the end of the 5-week study period that should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete.

Eligibility
Adults 18 years or older Currently a staff member (licensed as RNs, LPNs, BHTs, APPs) at an inpatient psychiatric unit at Rochester General Hospital
